Reconstruction and Revival

Without a doubt, most of us underwent a “tumblr” phase around 2012 wherein there was such a thing as losing yourself to the mindless scrolling through various gifs, pictures, memes, and videos on a social media website that wasn’t facebook, twitter or 9gag. Correct me if I’m wrong, but i think Tumblr was created as a blogging host, but it eventually blossomed into an open space where people could share text and media and be themselves. Think Facebook but without the crazy relatives. There were even typographies and other artistic creations of users all around the world. I remember being 14 and asking people if they had an account on tumblr so I could follow them, and with facebook not being as interesting as it is today, and with people not knowing how to use twitter, there were few sources of entertainment. I’m pretty sure everyone remembers the influx of Domo, galatic patterns, and mustaches. 

As cringey as it sounds, we won’t be the same people today if it weren’t for that phase.  

That phase is over. It’s time to  grow up and pretend to know what being an adult is all about, kids of the 90s. 

That is the main inspiration for my revival of this account. The metamorphosis of a quote loving elementary school girl to a young woman with a deeper understanding of the world (and probably better music taste and hopefully more interesting content). I believe in second chances (more than I know what’s good for me), and I am a firm enabler of change. I’m 20 now and I deserve to have a second chance at what I love doing, which is writing. Despite everything that happened to me, here I am fortunately/unfortunately still alive, and I’m finally pursuing one of my passions. I refuse to stay stagnant anymore. I used to just reblog to my heart’s content on this account from the various fandoms I belonged to. Before that I even had an account for reblogging emo phrases I could relate to at the time, usually when I felt that I had reached the lowest of the low. Man was I wrong. Now I aim to provide an outlet for exploring various areas outside my comfort zone while expressing my thoughts in a more coherent way compared to just tweeting rants on twitter.

So what this blog is going to be is a collection of anecdotes, unpopular opinions, and utter bullshit of all variations. If you’re reading this right now, why welcome to the inner linings of my brain.
